What About You? (Sunday Quick Questions #44)

We answer ‘quick questions’ here on I Tripped Over a Stone on Sundays.

Because… I blog. I get sick of me. I want to hear from you!

Don’t think, just answer!

  1. What is something you do, just for fun?
  2. Name one song that you can’t help singing along with when it comes on the radio. (Does it annoy you or not?)
  3. Tell me one thing people honestly believe about you; that is absolutely not true.

  1. I love sledding! I absolutely love it. My hubby brought home a red plastic sled, and we made a ‘jump’ in the backyard, and we slide until we freeze! (I haven’t run across snow this year yet, though.) Pure fun!
  2. Havana!!! (by Camila Cabello). It doesn’t annoy ME… but since I make up words to the parts I don’t know, it probably annoys everyone else. (My husband just laughs and says he will never need an iPod, he has me!)
  3. Honestly, people think I’m very organized. Truly. I am the farthest thing from organized!!! Gosh, don’t open a closet door! I’m better now that we downsized… no, I’m really still a mess! HA!

  1. 1. Gardening – I gave up growing vegetables, which would have been useful if I had been successful. Now I try and have as many flowers as possible.
    2. I have a psychological blog when it comes to singing, but I would love to have been a drummer so if anything with a beat comes on the radio when I’m cooking I beat the counter top with the wooden spoon.
    3. Someone said to my friend once that I was so patient with my childen – ha ha, she didn’t see me indoors!

    1. The vegetable garden conundrum! I hear that. Flowers are beautiful. The more the merrier. Drumming to a great song! Very cool, Janet! The patient public persona! That’s just called manners… besides, I’m sure your children are great! Just like their mom.😊💜

  2. 1. Gaming – I’m addicted although don’t mind that I am.
    2. ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ by Foster the People. Mark Foster is the genius of production.
    3. People think I see what they see. They just don’t get it when I tell them I’m colour-blind. Once as a little kid at school an art teacher went mad that I painted the sky yellow. It looked OK to me.

    1. Gaming. I don’t think there’s a thing wrong with that. Sounds fun! Pumped up kicks! I would be amazed to see what you do. Not that being color blind would be ideal, but I’d like to see things differently. Can’t believe your art teacher couldn’t get this. Thanks George! You are unique, I adore that quality! 😊

  3. I haven’t been sledding in years, but yes it is fun!… The last time I did anything of the kind though, the kids and I took turns sitting in a rubbermaid tote holding onto a rope, while being pulled by a truck. (skitching?) As far as what I do for fun, I really can’t pick just one thing…which is probably why I always have 100 projects going on at once. (I’m very ADD… yay closets;)
I attempt to sing along with every song I hear on the radio. When there is no radio, for some reason I hum jingle bells ALL THE DAMN TIME, but now I will have HAVAVA on my mind for the rest of the day….Thank you ?
I think that people think I am nicer than I am. Who am I to try to change that…lol
Hope you’re having a good day today Kim! I meant to message to ask if I could reblog your post, but forgot so I’m asking now….would you mind? The one about the ASS HAT comment

    1. Closet ADD… that’s funny! Skitching! Yasssss! Do you ‘Snipe’ hunt as well???😆😆😆 I can picture you randomly singing! That would become a fun pastime of mine if I lived closer to you! Havana. You ARE welcome! People are basically nice… so ARE YOU! Don’t worry, I’ll never tell. (Please share! Anytime!!!) thank you KG! (Karen Grace!)

  4. 1. Vacuuming. I love to have the time to do a little cleaning and organizing around the hacienda, but there never seems to be enough of it between work, friends, dogs, the missus, reading, writing, etc. So, when I have a chance — usually on a Thursday late afternoon or football-free Sunday — I like to pop open a beer, put on some music from anyone named Billy, and dance with the Shark.

    2. Dancing With Myself.

    3. I’ve been accused of being a swinger, more than once. I am not. I’ve been an atheist for 35 years now and my family still thinks I am a Christian in denial. I am not. There are some people who believe I am an alcoholic. That is untrue. I’ve never once been to a meeting. 😉

    1. Vacuuming? Since you adopted me, I have a vacuum, Thursday’s, and Dancing with myself on my phone! Come over and have some fun, Brother Tom!!! 😆😆😆 Jesus. (No pun.) A Swinger, a Christian, and an Alcoholic walk into a bar… we say, Hi Tom!!! Hahaha! Love your answers!😊

  5. oh my goodness, I haven’t been on a sled in decades, but i have lots of great memories of sledding down hills of snow!

    1. What is something you do, just for fun? I have learned to change the word fun to contentment and I am content ANY day I don’t feel horrible and I can get outside and walk.

    2. Name one song that you can’t help singing along with when it comes on the radio. (Does it annoy you or not?) I am a HUGE 80s metal hair band fan……….RATT, Scorpions, Poison, Whitesnake, Guns n’ Roses……..yeah, I go crazy! But Saftey Dance, now that songs makes me crazy happy 🙂

    3. Tell me one thing people honestly believe about you; that is absolutely not true. That i am not really sick………….those people suck!

Another great week of questions Kim……….hope today is treating you well!

    1. Hello Wendi! Just have to skip ahead… safety dance! Oh my! That is a crazy happy sing along dancing song! Love it. Of course the 80s hairbands are awesome. (I just read Duff Mckagan’s book! The GNRs bass player, awesome!) The hubby did bring home a red sled and asked me if I wanted to ride with him… too funny. I like contentment. I like walks, too! “You look fine!” Man, those people really do suck! Those are not our people! Thanks my friend! Enjoy your Sunday! 😊💜😊💜

  6. 1. Throw the ball for my dog! He gets so excited over little things – I love witnessing that.
    2. Pretty much anything 80s, whether 80s pop, rock, or metal. I can’t help but sing along!
    3. People think I have more energy than I do. With work, taking care of family, my health, people assume that I have endless energy. I am always tired.

  7. 1. Think about all the fun things I want to do that I don’t have the time, money or energy for
    2. Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Joleeeennneeee. Anything by Dolly, Cindy Lauper, any cheesy 80s, Duran Duran. Doesn’t annoy me.. I love it!
    3. That I’m a calming influence. Don’t be deceived; I have high anxiety, my brain in a mess and I stress about the most ridiculous of things all the damn time. I guess my head is what it’s like behind your closed closet doors!

PS. Kim – I wanted to check in with you and see how your bracelets are doing. I imagined you’d probably get a few orders the first week so I didn’t want you to be overwhelmed with that and everything. Am I okay to order? I’ll be paying by Paypal, now I have my new account just about set about (what a pain in the arse that has been! Did I tell you they closed down my old account despite all my complaints? Apparently I was just under 18 when I first signed up… it took them 14 years and having me send my ID three times for them to figure this out! Back then when I signed up it was dial up internet and computers that weighed more than the person using it, and Paypal never made it clear you had to be over 18 at the time!!) Rant over. Let me know because I wants my jewellerrrrrryyyyy  ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

    1. Caz! Awe. No money for fun… that’s one issue with leisure time fun… bummer. Jolene! Jolene, Jolene, Joleeeennneee…….. please don’t take me man even if you can…..🎵🎶🎵🎶 cha! Love to wail along to that song! Pop rock and pure country. That’s fun!!! Right!?!? The calm one. I get that little misnomer! Shoot! If they only knew!

PayPal rant! Yep. It can be a real pain to get set up. I am ready for you jewerrerrrrryyyyyyooohhhhmmmee ordeeerrrrrrrrr!!! Give it to me sister! What colors do you like? I want to knooooowwww!

      1. Hahahah 😂 Just reading this back, I really went off on one earlier. It’s because I submitted the Paypal complaint yesterday and they’ve said “please send it to our complaints department”. I did!

I’ve just done the payment.. did you get it okay? In terms of colours, hmmm.. you know how indecisive I am, right? 😉 Maybe best to say colours not to have. Maybe not white or light green. I really like the darker purple ones, the reds. Actually the blue with the pinky purple knotted one is the one I keep going back to (pink I usually hate but this looks really funky!) I also really like the reds, and purples. The patterns that are really close together are my favourites (the tightly knotted ones).

Can you tell my brain is all ooooover the place today? Sorry! xx

        1. Ok! Yep! Got your payment! You go ahead with your bad self! Complain away! They can take it!😆😆😆 The pink I use is a super nice one. So , the blue with thy pink purple… close together pattern, I’m getting lost… tightly knotted one… now I’m lost. 😊😆😆! What picture are you looking at cause I’ll send you that very one if I still have it??? Remember, you get a matching set, meaning the same colors are used in both. A knotted and a staircase. Try again! I need more info!😊

  8. Okay, I can’t remember the questions without going back and forth so here they are again 🤣
    1. What is something you do, just for fun?
Bake. I love to bake and share my baked goodies and make people happy. I love decorating cookies!
    2. Name one song that you can’t help singing along with when it comes on the radio. (Does it annoy you or not?) Hotel California, and just about anything by Prince. No it doesn’t anny me. Might annoy others. But I don’t even try to listen to the radio now so no worries there. 😆
    3. Tell me one thing people honestly believe about you; that is absolutely not true. That I’m confident and a “social butterfly”. Truth is, I’m terrified meeting new people and im constantly afraid im going to say or do the wrong thing. I rehearse conversations over and over in my head.

    1. Bake! I’m so jealous! I can not. I really suck. I CAN make rice Krispy bars, tho… dang. Hotel California…yes! Prince… Raspberry beret🎶🎶🎵 yassss! Oh girl, confidence and the social butterfly effect. Say it isn’t so! Loved your answers, Wen. 😊💜

  9. 1. What is something you do, just for fun?
I take my bat and a few baseballs out and knock them around for a while. Love it! It’s a great release of the tension of normal life. I wouldn’t strike anybody (even an annoying idiot) but when I picture their heads on the balls, I can slam the hell out of them and have a wonderful time. Haha.
2.Name one song that you can’t help singing along with when it comes on the radio. (Does it annoy you or not?)
Whatever that Linkin Park song is about “I tried so hard and got so far but in the end it doesn’t even matter…” Yeah, I find myself singing it and then shake my head and stop. It’s an annoying song in my opinion but it does get in my head. Not a fan! Haha.
    3. Tell me one thing people honestly believe about you; that is absolutely not true.
I used to work with a guy and I would always talk about gangster movies and use a little accent and all. He thought I was really Italian and I definitely am not. Haha. It was pretty funny, though. I never corrected him.

    1. Little ball practice is great fun! Using the balls as faces of tension causing characters make it all the more fun! Linkin Park. I kind of missed that whole scene. When those songs play over and over… yep, annoying and you can’t think of anything else! I love the Italian bit! That’d be fun as well! 😆😆😆 thank you so much Parker! Great answers!
