We answer ‘quick questions’ here on I Tripped Over a Stone on Sundays.
Why?
Because… I blog. I get sick of me. I want to hear from you!
Don’t think, just answer!
- Name one place you’d like to visit in the near future?
- If you could choose one area of your life to excel in, which would you choose?
- Have you ever been to an opera?
- Right in my own darn city; Minnehaha Falls! A famous waterfall in a city park! I need to see it.
- Financial. I need to be financially secure, or I get a bit cray-cray! (I should say spiritual, but that’d be a lie, therefore, not very good Karma!)
- Nope. That is the only kind of music I don’t get. It looks like they are hurting themselves when they sing! Plus, if I hear Les Miserables sung by drunk people one more time at a party…
1. Planet Mars. Plastic is not an issue there although taking a dog for a walk might pose a problem. Also, I wrote a song that’s never yet appeared on an album about Mars. I’m not in marketing mode I stress – it not even a song for sale. https://www.reverbnation.com/zoolon/song/29141835-red-planet If you get a chance to listen I’m hoping you like it – no worries if not.
2. Speaking French properly would make life a bit easier.
3. No. I think opera singers could make great surreal sound art but that’s about all. They don’t do the surreal anyhow!

I think I’ll take that flight with you! Yep. Listened to your song. Cool! Never worry about referring to your wonderful music George. Always feel free, its fun to listen to your songs. I really enjoy them and your talent! French! I guess, keep practicing? It is the language of love, eh? An opera singer and the surreal genre… makes sense, George. You may be on to something! Thanks George!😊🎶🎵

3. Does Phantom of the Opera count? If so I’ve seen it and enjoyed it but that’s about it for Opera. 😊

I loved your answer to opera. 😂 I gotta get ready for #1 below so I’ll be brief(ish):
1. Church!
2. Church! Just kidding. In a moment of complete sobriety (after two coffee baileys) I would have to say that the one area of my life I would choose to excel in is “outlook.” I want to be able to look forward to tomorrow and believe it will be better than today, as much as possible. Failing that, yeah, the drinking part.
3. God, no. I’m as liberally-minded as the next commie pinko but one thing I never could get the hang of was opera. Or classical music. Or rap. Or country. Let’s be honest, I’m as close-minded a music fan as they come. Grow the damn hair and make that guitar sing, or I’m changing the station. The only country music song I like is “Springsteen” and only that one line. Okay, I do like that “Sure Be Cool If You Did” song by Blake Shelton but not that “Chew Tobacco, Chew Tobacco, Chew Tobacco, Spit” song, which might be as stupid as they come. Oh, never mind, I gotta get to church. Have I mentioned church today?

I want to go to your church! “Outlook,” eh? You could believe in a better tomorrow… I have ‘hope!’ You would probably have a better outlook if you listened to something other than hair bands!!! 😉 You are a bit of a music dictator aren’t you?!?! Tom! Go to church! HAHAHA!

Train travel around France or better still all of Europe. I’d like to excel as a blogger and publish a book, opera no thanks but I’ve really enjoyed Ludovice Einaudi, contemporary classical pianist, playing in Dublin’s 3 arena, if that counts! Check him out, if you haven’t already Kim, you’re in for a treat!

Yes to a train… anywhere. I’ve always wanted to do that!!! So cool. I bet you will excel and publish! I’m sure of it! Ludovice… if you say so, I’ll check him out! Thanks Marie! xo

We are so fond of train travel Kim. For our 25th anniversary we took the Euro star from London to Belgium and train from there to Brugge, it was awesome! Last year we had a trip on The Flying Scotsman! Emma has had a model Flying Scotsman since she was about 10. Let me know what you think of Ludovico, his album Islands is beautiful!
