What About You? (Quick Sunday Questions #6)

We must continue! I am loving your answers!

Because…

I blog. I get sick of writing about me! I want to get to know you! I have three questions.

Don’t think, just answer!

Ready?

  1. The first car you purchased on your own?
  2. With your own money, what was the first record, 8-track (yes, I went there!), cassette, or cd you bought?
  3. What is your favorite vegetable?

  1. A used, white Pontiac Sunbird! Two door, pop-up headlights, and a sunroof (that leaked).
  2. A cassette tape! The Cars!
  3. ANY steamed veggie! (NO peas.)

  1. 1. My parents always gave me my cars. I still have the one they gave me when I got my degree. It’s nearly 5 years old now and I’m still waiting for the replacement – there’s no fairness. That sounds like a spoiled brat reading it back!
    2. Green Day
    3. Mushrooms

  2. 1) Gold Buick LeSabre with a leaking back glass and a drooping headliner; 2) a small 45 rpm vinyl record by the band Bread; 3) potatoes – and yes, I am OLD 🤣

  3. I love these, Kim! It is so much fun to learn more about you and your readers!!!
    1. My sweet Ursula was the first car I bought; a black Honda civicc hatchback. She was also the last car I ever drove, 16 years ago.
    2. Blondie – Parallel Lines
    3. I pretty much dig all veggies. I was that weird kid who asked for seconds of brussels sprouts!

  4. 1. My first car was a Ford KA, but my folks helped a little with that. My second, and current car, is a Hyundai i10 that I paid for. To get a car with electric windows was amazing!
    2. Ooo, I can’t remember. It was probably a Spice Girls cassette of some description. I also bought some 80s cassettes when I first started buying them myself though so I really couldn’t say for sure.
    3. Hmm I love peas, so I’ll go for those (not mushy peas, yuck, but fresh garden peas or petite pois peas, not undercooked and too hard though). Yummmm.

    1. I was just glad the car I bought had a fuel gage that worked, I had to gestimate in my car my dad bought me for my senior year… for crying out loud! Electric window are the bomb! Cassettes, glad you are with me on that! Peas. The one vegtable that freaks me out. They explode in your mouth. That’s not natural. LOL!

  5. 1. A brand new ’94 Nissan pickup for my business (I was 26). Every other car I’d owned before that was a hand-me-down. 😂

    2. Goodness. This is tough one. I don’t really remember. It was a cassette, for sure. Howard Jones? Honestly, the first music I purchased on my own may have been 12 at once, for a penny. Remember Columbia House!

    3. I like broccoli a lot but hardly ever eat it. I do zucchini every time I grill. 🙂

    1. I have been missing out! That jeep sounds sweet! My hubby has a 1967 scout and refuses to sell… I really loved my blazer, the third car purchased ever in my life. I had a few records in my time, but the Eagles… sexy! Bell peppers? Peas are worse. Thanks, Wen! I love getting to hear everyone’s answers! My favorite post of the week.

  7. A red Ford Fiesta – a stick that I didn’t know how to drive, because it was cheaper! LOL. Never did really get the hang of that.

    Definitely a 45, probably Baracuda?

    Sugar snap peas! 😜
