Tell The Story Challenge

I was challenged to write a story about the picture posted below by Sadje at Keep it Alive.

I will write what I know, the prose of sorts. So here goes, challenge accepted!

I have been understood and misunderstood.

I too have done the same.

I’m not sure how to fix any of it.

It certainly cannot be changed.

People suggest “move on” or “go from here,”

But that does not fix the hurt or change the memories.

I think you must accept the hurt,

And forgive the lack of understanding.

Revisiting old wounds,

Does no good.

Those who have done the wounding know it.

Those who have been wounded remain wounded.

Strive to do better,

Be Better.

That is my Promise.

That is what I will do.

          1. thank you so much, but i promise i wasn’t trying to get a compliment. the written and spoken word is very difficult for me due to my neuro disorder………it’s always been a struggle so my husband told me to start a blog so i could get better………and here i am. the best part blogging has had nothing to do with writing, but “meeting” amazing people like you!

            1. Wendi! I started my blog for the same reasons. I needed to relearn sentence structure and get out of my head. It does work! As well as drawing, journaling, and coloring. Any and all mind work. I agree, meeting great people on WP has been amazing! I love my tribe! And so happy to have found you! 😊
